Fyd the Mirror Sentoki

HEY LOOK WHAT BANDWAGON I JUMPED ON THIS TIME! and likely sent it careening into a wall but that is besides the point.

MINOR SPOILERS FOR KIRBY TRIPLE DELUXE.
so in the spirit of HAL's recent revisit into the amazing mirror, I started thinking of what a dark counterpart of Forta would be like. and then I started thinking of what the entire Sentoki species would be like beyond the mirror.

I didn't want to have an alternate Forta that would be pretty much just a dark version of her, not all darkness is evil after all. *coughSHADOWKIRBYcough* that said, I'm in no mood to write out a full bio either, so i'll just do a quick description.

The Mirror Sentoki's are a tribe of thieves and mercenaries, known for their resourcefulness and talent at making a weapon out of anything. They hide in the shadows, mainly due to the harsh stereotypes surrounding their race and its Battle High, a state of mind triggered when under pressure, cutting off all emotional responses, leaving only a drug-like enjoyment when fighting. This does not provide the same boost of animalistic strength as the Battle Rage, but does reduce feelings of pain and heightens reaction time, making them seem to move inhumanly fast.

Fyd has many similar traits to Forta, but these also lead to major differences between them. Both are strongly loyal and protective, and will fight fiercely to shield others from harm, but whereas Forta hates being pushed to killing (due to her dislike of being seen as a reaper), Fyd has an almost twisted sense of justice, and see's killing as a way to put a threat out of the picture. A kind of vigilante/Robin Hood to the suffering, she hunts down or steals from those who cause trouble in the Mirror World, giving the spoils to the needy. She suffers from the same self-doubt as Forta does, especially considering her powerful Battle High, but has taught herself to use her misgivings as a way to always push herself to do better. She can seem cold when first met, and doesn't let herself get close to people. Yet she feels a powerful sense of duty to protect others, even if it means she can't enjoy her own life. Being both blind in one eye and being a girl caused many to underestimate her, and thus she removed one of these traits by posing, dressing, and acting like a boy.
She wields a makeshift sickle in battle, similar to Forta's scythe, but when the chain hidden in the handle is extended, is becomes a crude kusarigama.



so I was more or less spitballing some ideas, this isn't going to be a character with a huge backstory, or even much of a story for that matter, I just made her on a whim. enjoy.
